Opening To The Mystery

Avebury is one of the UK's most ancient and sacred places of pilgrimage.

Join me as we approach the Summer Solstice on this mystical and magical pilgrimage for women of Avebury's sacred sites, including the Stone Circle, the majestic beech trees, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow. We will be dropping into a deeper listening as we connect with each of the sites, communing our hearts and insights together and exploring the energetic signatures of this sacred landscapes and inside our own bodies. .

Our time together will be spent opening to the Mystery and the messages of the ancients echoing through time in this powerful place. Allowing the frequency of the sites to permeate your consciousness and fill your soul with the medicine of communion and connection that oozes from a profound depth of Being.

Communing with Avebury Stone Circle

Set in the beautiful landscape of Wiltshire, the World Heritage Site of Avebury is the largest prehistoric stone circle in the world. We will be walking in between the stones, feeling them, taking time to listen, touching, leaning on, hugging them, and tuning into the insights opening and being gifted as we walk the circle.

The Sacred Tie to the Land

Among the branches and roots of the ancient beech trees on the site, you will see bright ribbons carrying hopes, dreams, the intimacies of the hearts yearning, plus calls for health and happiness as well as offerings to the spirits of these ancient lands and trees. We will tie our own ribbons, connecting to our ancestors who also made pilgrimages to these sacred sites. I will have ribbons for you to use, or you are welcome to bring your own.

The Mysterious Silbury Hill

Avebury stone circle is part of a larger landscape containing the mysterious Silbury Hill. This is perhaps the most enigmatic of all megalithic constructions in Europe. Completed in around 2400 BCE, it apparently contains no burials. Its purpose is still a mystery, and it is suggested that the hill is a symbolic effigy of the ancient Mother Goddess and is to be associated with fertility rituals which marked the course of the year.

A Meditation at West Kennet Long Barrow

A series of stone chambers beneath an earthen bank can be found at West Kennet Long Barrow, south of Silbury Hill. Although human remains were found, the site was almost certainly the focus of other rituals that were important to those who built them. Some believe the barrow to be a door to another world; a liminal place of intense spiritual awareness.
